At the beginning of the story were encounters in Nepal that touched us.
We were fascinated by people whose lives were marked by poverty on the outside, but who nevertheless radiated contentment and an inner glow.
These bright eyes and the friendly openness despite great poverty often raised the question for us of what is really necessary to be happy.
At the same time, we have witnessed the imposing challenges and hardship in daily life, lack of basic services and lack of perspective.
An essential prerequisite on our travels was always to encounter people eye-to-eye, with mutual appreciation and respect. We tried to familiarise ourselves with the local lifestyles in order to understand them.
The prevailing hopelessness of improving one`s situation in Nepal regardless of desire, effort, diligence and talent often left us speechless… but not helpless.
We see our privileged life situation of being born in a safe, socially-oriented country with educational opportunities and medical care as our personal responsibility to also share from our abundance.
We want to enable opportunities, promote talent and support projects.
Our support is individually tailored to each project and to local / personal circumstances.
We provide support in the form of expertise (organisation of work visas etc.), active action (medical care, provision of medicines etc.) or financial support for training, studies, necessary medical treatments etc.
The involvement of our Nepalese friends Gombu, Jiten and Suman is very important to us. They know the conditions and problems, can contribute ideas for activities and are contact persons on site.
Our projects became matters of the heart.
All these activities are performed on a voluntary basis and without compensation and are supported by many people from our circle of friends.
