Support for a "community centre for senior citizens" and the Chiwong Monastery
Dawa Dachhiri Sherpa was born on November 3, 1969 in Taksindu Solukumbu, Nepal.
Dawa's dream was to discover new horizons and travel the world. His arrival in Europe and his achievements make him a trail icon with an impressive track record. Since his first victory in 1998 on a stage of the Verdon Marathon, he has won more than 100 races, including the Annapurna Trail, L'Ardéchois, Le Tchimbé Raid, Trail Ubaye Solomon, Les Templiers....
His career as a sportsman was a way of encouraging tourists to discover his region. He organised humanitarian actions for schooling, housing children and welcoming the elderly in a community house at 2700m. His personal and family experiences have enabled him to raise awareness of the humanitarian problems that Nepal is suffering, especially after the earthquake in April 2015.
The Foundation supports the senior citizens' community centre with clothing, medicines and a cash donation
The Chiwong Monastery in Phaplu - Nepal
he monastery offers a school with boarding facilities and organises scholarships for pupils who would otherwise be denied this educational opportunity.
We support the monastery with clothing, medicines and a financial donation.
